This Family Adventure Therapy-based model combines the power of fun, adventure and connection in an environment void of daily-life distractions. Together with the support of staff facilitators, an average of 10 families “enroll” for 4 days of structured activities, communal meals and chores, art projects and family downtime in their cabins. Board games, walks through the woods and fireside conversation replace electronics, work, school and other elements of “normal” daily life. Sibling involvement is welcomed and encouraged!
Women’s Retreats:
2012
2013
February 10 — 13
August 4 — 7
These warm, nurturing 3-day retreats provide a unique opportunity for healing and fellowship in a serene and beautiful setting. Co-lead by CCBS Founder, Beth Black, and CCBS Manager of Clinical Services, Jane Barker, LISW, these experiences combine educational and therapeutic sessions with light exercise, nourishing meals and plenty of laughter! The focus is on the individual instead of the struggling teen, and the courage and heart required to navigate difficult times with grace.
Father & Son Trek:
2012
2013
June 25 — 28
These events are designed to pit "man against nature" in variety of outdoor activities including kayaking, white water rafting, hiking, and camping. These events provide one-on-one time between father and son and great opportunities to work and play with a great group of dedicated adventurers!
We encourage families to participate in all Family Seminars. In general, we recommend families to attend at least one Family Seminar prior to attending Family Trek, Women's Retreats, and/or Father & Son Treks. Please work with your son's primary counselor and therapist to discuss recommendations for family programming participation.

These dates are likely projections. You will receive further details for each event which will be helpful in making appropriate travel arrangements.
